About
Nico "Voidsef" Combs (he/him/void/voids) is a queer photographer and videographer who enjoys capturing people on the outskirts of society and bringing attention to them, whether they are queer, neurodivergent, or simply weird. He aims to create unique stories and photography that brings people’s ideas to life.
Nico has dabbled in many forms of art throughout his life, and cosplay holds a special place in his heart. As a neurodivergent transgender man, Nico understands how cosplay and dressing up as something other than human can make someone feel better in their skin, and he hopes to bring this feeling to his clients.
In 2024, Nico and his team won first place in the multimedia division and the Cal Water Golden Spigot award in the San Joaquin County of Education's H2O Hackathon for their work on a social media campaign promoting awareness of flooding in the San Joaquin area. He is currently an intern with Fierce Mustang Media, where he creates social media content, videos, and PSAs for the KWDC radio station.
Of his work with KWDC Delta College Radio, he is most proud of his podcast “All About Mythos,” which ran for a year with 12 episodes in total, discussing a large variety of mythology from around the world. He has also created a cosplay music video “Run Rabbit Run," a short film called “One More Dance,” which placed as Honorable Mentions in the 2024 Delta College Film Festival and the 2025 Las Po Film Fest, and a short film "Schrodinger" which was awarded first place in story/screenplay at the 2025 Las Po Film Fest.
Nico has experience using Adobe Audition and Premiere Pro to create a large variety of content, and has been learning the art of photography since 2022. From video content, to radio work, to photoshoots, Nico is able to adapt to his client’s needs to produce the best content he can for them.
Nico is working towards an Associate’s Degree in Digital Media and two Certificates of Achievement in Digital Media with Emphasis in Audio and Video at San Joaquin Delta College. In Fall 2025 he will be working towards a Bachelor’s in Film at San Francisco State University.
